“Arirang”
to Continue Till Mid-July

The
DPRK announced on June 20 that it would extend the period of the mass gymnastic
display and art performance “Arirang” to July.
“Arirang”
will be held in Pyongyang from April 29 to July 15, Pyongyang said in its
official website on “Arirang.”
During
the period of “Arirang,” the DPRK plans to issue visas to residents in south
Korea and accept south Korean tourists.
The
DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly issued an ordinance that it would award
“Arirang” the Kim Il Sung Award.
Meanwhile,
the KCNA reported that over one million foreign tourists have so far visited the
DPRK to see “Arirang.” In this period, an “Arirang” train service will
be exclusively made available to people who will come from localities and better
lodging and boarding services and means of transportation will be provided to
show them around several places in Pyongyang.
