The DPRK announced on June 20 that it would extend the period of the mass gymnastic display and art performance “Arirang” to July.

“Arirang” will be held in Pyongyang from April 29 to July 15, Pyongyang said in its official website on “Arirang.”

During the period of “Arirang,” the DPRK plans to issue visas to residents in south Korea and accept south Korean tourists.

The DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly issued an ordinance that it would award “Arirang” the Kim Il Sung Award.

Meanwhile, the KCNA reported that over one million foreign tourists have so far visited the DPRK to see “Arirang.” In this period, an “Arirang” train service will be exclusively made available to people who will come from localities and better lodging and boarding services and means of transportation will be provided to show them around several places in Pyongyang.
